As an investor, Sheila Jacobs became intrigued by the financial services industry and she began her career there in 1995. A year later, she set out to find a firm with a corporate culture that was aligned with her values.

She settled on a mid sized regional firm that was operated by the same family that had founded it more than a hundred years earlier. There, under the tutelage of one of Barron’s Top 1000, advisors Sheila studied and learned and in 2002, she earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. She became a compliance associate and eventually she began an independent practice.

“I’m a passionate person. I’ve even been called driven and I love serving my clients. I love teaching, team building and helping people understand Personal Financial Management. At the end of the day, I need to know that I’ve done good work and that the people I serve are better off for having met me. An independent practice that offers education allows me to do that.

A dynamic and inspirational speaker, Sheila has conducted workshops for Douglass College (Rutgers University), Hewitt Associates, National Council of Negro Women, Peco Energy, Seton Hall Law School, and Star Ledger/Commerce Bank (TD Bank), among others.

According to a recent attendee her style is “Insightful, Humorous and Touching – The best session of the type I have ever attended”.

Her workbook, Life & Money is a compilation of moving and motivational stories designed to provide inspiration while reinforcing the personal financial management principals that are the bedrock of her programs.

Her childrens books focus on teaching children to share and save for the future. Though the topic is serious, families will enjoy following our loveable characters as they embark on everyday adventures that will teach readers valuable life lessons. The books also meet federal and state standards for financial literacy.

A former vice-president of Philadelphia’s National Association of Women Business Owners, Sheila serves on the boards of Educational Solutions Unlimited, Urban Promise Ministries.

She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and a Lifetime NCNW member.

Inspired by her relationship with her own mentor, Sheila is also founder of the Women’s Business Forum Mentoring program.

She and her husband Paul, a high school teacher and coach, are the parents of two amazing sons and they make their home in Bucks County Pennsylvania.
